Aarif Abraham met students from the University of Salford and Manchester Metropolitan University as part of an event at the Civil Justice Centre (CJC) in Manchester.
The students were introduced to judges, barristers, solicitors and court staff as well as others from the legal community in Manchester. They took part in small group conversations with legal professionals followed by lively Q&A panels. They were also offered the opportunity to shadow a judge.
Aarif said: βIt was a remarkable evening bringing together everyone that contributes to the justice system in all its diversity and allowing a genuine and meaningful interaction between students and professionals. I was very glad to participate and help bridge some of the divides that still make the legal profession inaccessible and opaque.β
